NetEase, a leading Chinese internet technology company has revealed their latest video game at Gamescom 2018 called Nostos which is made for VR. Nostos is a cross-platform multiplayer VR game with open-word setting and oriented-style art. Details on the title are not that many right now, but from what is currently available it is clear that Nostos is a virtual world full of a rich variety of landscapes and locations to explore. Set in a post-apocalyptic world Nostos features breathtaking natural environments inspired by anime style.
The open world
Explore the vast and mysterious world of Nostos – a VR anime game. Find the remains of a lost civilization. Even though time is limited and hope is slowly fading away there are relics that help guide your way. You can find them very useful because they are the key to move forward and survive. While exploring the world of Nostos across deserts, grasslands, mountains and more, players must overcome the increasingly inhospitable climates and fierce enemies which they are faced with.
The historical sites located throughout the world hold the remnants of a war. This war will need to be uncovered in order to learn the truth about what happened. Now lost to the sands of time. Also scattered throughout these lands are the dangerous and ever-expanding “Coralsea”. Threatening the very lands on which the people depend on for survival. Teamwork is key as players gather resources. Build a clan you can trust and fight to pull the world of Nostos back from the brink of utter desolation. You will play as a hero of the settlers and set off on a journey with your companions. With them you will forage for food, build and fight with side by side.
