2019 is looking to be a great year for the gaming industry. Especially for the Virtual Reality niche. So many new and amazing games are coming out, that it is hard to keep up. Just this month on IFGN we covered over 10 upcoming games. And we are going to continue delivering new indie content, both for our readers and to support the indie developers.
About the Game
Today we are looking at Failspace – a VR co-op, crisis-solving, multiplayer game that is set on a space truck! The special thing about this space truck is that it can burn through all the rings of Saturn at a light speed just to deliver a bag of rice. The game allows up to 4 people to join the mission and together they have to combine their skills, thought and friendship in order to deliver their cargo on time.
Your space truck comes fully equipped with everything you need to make space deliveries. However, its warranty seems to have expired. Which causes a lot of trouble happening on board. And being a single team of four, expect nobody but yourselves to fix any problem that occurs. This is where teamwork comes in. While one teammate is fixing one broken part, the other might be putting out a fire and so on. The ship’s integrity depends entirely on your teamwork.
Of course a good truck team would first do anything to prevent their truck from breaking. So most of the devastating malfunctions, you can actually prevent with your experience and expertise. And together with your friends you find yourself in a comical situation of chaos which lasts around 10 minutes and requires your best communication and fixing skills. Get together with your friends and have a laugh while delivering the space goodies!
Failspace is an upcoming VR title that looks very promising and will definitely bring to the multiplayer in VR as well as the co-operation. It supports both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and it has cartoonish but beautiful looking sci-fi graphics that will create a unique atmosphere for immersion. If you like the game and want to stay up to date with its progress, make sure to add it to your wishlist on Steam.
